洪秀柱可望代表國民黨參選2016，但綠營質疑，洪秀柱帶職參選，恐會影響議事中立，且若洪帶職參選，卻無法主持會議，領立法院副院長這份薪水很奇怪。洪秀柱回應，綠營不是也有很多人帶職參選？不要雙重標準。
23日被問到是否要辭副院長背水一戰？洪秀柱說，問我要辭不要辭，擔心的是什麼？民進黨也有很多帶職參選的，為什麼有不同看法？每件事情有雙重標準是不太好的，要就大家都一樣、一起來。
對於綠營質疑洪在主持議事時可能會影響中立，洪秀柱說，我主持議事到現在哪有不中立？到了主席台就是主席，一切就按照議事規則走，不會發生不中立的事。
